From Training to Service; Nura Suleiman Tiso’s Journey……….. from Kakuma to South Kurdorfon, Sudan

Today, I apply skills daily in my work, especially when supporting children and families affected by malnutrition. The training has enabled me to assess patients quickly, provide immediate healthcare, and ensure timely referrals for advanced treatment when necessary.

In addition to clinical skills, the training strengthened my confidence, communication, and interpersonal abilities, allowing me to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and community members. These skills have helped me contribute to family tracing and reunification efforts, supporting communities beyond direct medical care.

The Medical and First Aid Training did more than teach me skills—it gave me purpose and direction. It empowered me to serve my community with professionalism, compassion, and confidence. Today, I am proud to be part of a team that provides life-saving health and nutrition services to those who need them most.

I am deeply grateful to Community Vitality Solutions CBO for investing in my training and personal development. Programs like this are essential for building local healthcare worker’s capacity and ensuring that communities have trained individuals who can respond to emergencies and support their community in providing first aid services. I am happy to serve my community with the skills gained from the training.

From training to impact—our alumni transforming lives at the frontline of care—now on the ground in Dilling County, Sudan, supporting vulnerable families through quality health and nutrition services at Katangara Primary Health Care Centre, ensuring every child has a chance to thrive.
